Some of you are preparing your festive attire and some of you are hunkering down until the party is over. Whether you're ready or not, Mardi Gras is here! Mardi Gras increases the frenzy of life for any church in South Louisiana, moreover if you're church is in Lafayette, more so if you're church is in Downtown Lafayette. We love being downtown. The unique challenges are well worth the beauty and rich culture that is there. So, here's a little help for all of us who will be navigating downtown for the next two Sundays.

There are no parades in downtown on either Sunday, the 8th, or Sunday, the 15th. Therefore, you should not have to worry about too many lanes being blocked. Though, one road to avoid will be Vermillion Street. Parking, however, is the tricky part.

The barricades are blocking the vast majority of parallel parking spots. If you are having trouble finding a spot on the street, then the best place to park will be Tsunami's lot on the corner of Garfield St. and S. Buchanan St. Parking is free on Sundays and it is only one block from Cite Des Arts.
